System trainings for Fall 2008 are held in the webinar format. They are each one-hour or less and offered through Wimba LiveClassroom. See below for directions on accessing the sessions. You'll also find descriptions and links to the archived sessions.

Bb Overview - A 45-minute overview of the portal and what Bb can do (show a course) and how to navigate an online course and an overview of Bb tools available to faculty.
Bb Tools - A one-hour demonstration on how to use various Bb tools such as announcement, voice announcements, calendar, tasks, glossary manager, email/messages and more.
Bb Options - A one-hour demonstration on customizing your Bb Course Shell. This session focuses on customizing the course navigation bar, making your course accessible to students and other general settings in the course.
Beginning of Semester Course Set-up - This 45 minute demonstration shows you how to copy your previous course content into your current Bb shell. There will also be open question and answer time about the process.
End of Semester Course Wrap-up - This 45 minute demonstration will show how and when to archive and export your course. It will also show how to download your grade center to excel for your records. There will be Q & A time.
Bb Discussions - A one-hour session demonstrating how to set up and utilize Discussion Boards in the classroom. We'll look at setting board features including mark read/unread and grading. We'll also see the difference between "tree" and "list" view for Discussion Boards.
Creating online Content with SoftChalk - A one-hour overview showing users what SoftChalk can do and how to download and install the software. It will also link to SoftChalk.com trainings and explain how to register for free.
Bb Content Areas - This one-hour session will discuss ways to organize content for your course. It also describes content areas and demonstrates how to add content to the "content area".
Bb Assignments - This one-hour demonstration will illustrate how to add assignments, safe assignments and self/peer assignments to your course. You will also see how to grade these assignments through the grade center.
Through the student's eyes - This 45-minute overview reviews how a student sees content when adaptive release is used. It also shows how students navigate a Bb course and how they view their grades. It also discusses information about the instructor's student account allowing them to view their course as a student.
Bb Test Manager and Pool Manager - This one-hour session will demonstrate how to create a test in Blackboard and add questions. We'll look at adding questions by using a Word Test Converter, Exam View, Publisher file and by adding them directly in to Blackboard.
Deploying a Test - This 45-minunte demonstration will show how to add tests in the Test Manager to the course for deployment to the students. It will also go over options of setting up the tests.
Adaptive Release & Early Warning System - This one-hour session will discuss what these features are and how they can be used in the course. It will demonstrate how to add Adaptive Release to course content and how to create rules through the Early Warning System.
Grade Center Basics - This one-hour overview shows the basics of using the Grade Center including how to manage/organize the grade center, grade assignments/tests, run reports and send email'.
More Grade Center & User Performance - This 45-minute session will show how to modify graded columns and total or weighted columns, create and use calculated columns, 'Smart Views', and view 'Grade History'. We'll also take a look at the Performance Dashboard and Course Statistics of a course.
Linking content from the eContent Collection - this 45-minute session will show how to upload content to the eContent Collection, set permissions and link the files to the course. We'll also see how to modify the properties of items in the eContent Collection.
Creating ePortfolios - This one-hour demonstration will show how to create portfolios and to get them to show up in your course.

Utilizing eCommunities - This 45-minute session will show how to create an organization within the Blackboard system for use with committees, student organizations, faculty clubs etc . You'll also learn how to manage enrollment of your organization.
Using Wimba Voice tools - this one-hour session will take a look at the voice tools offered by Wimba. We'll then see how to incorporate these tools into your course.
Wimba LiveClassroom - this one-hour session will show faculty how to use the synchronous LiveClassroom tool within an online class.
